When I was a pre-teen I would take paper on long trips and draw very rigid dresses: sweetheart necklines, wide skirts, tiny waists. Gone with the Wind meets Madonna in the mid 90’s.
I’m not a talented illustrator. Not now, not then. They never had heads, their shapes were all out of proportion, and the clothes were stiff at best. Had I decided to pursue fashion school, I probably would have bought this book, or one like it.
